The California Teachers Association exists to protect and promote the well-being of its members; to improve the conditions of teaching and learning; to advance the cause of free, universal, and quality public education; to ensure that the human dignity and civil rights of all children and youth are protected; and to secure a more just, equitable, and democratic society.
College of the Desert Adjunct Association (CODAA) exists because the adjunct faculty deserves and needs strong unified representation. One voice often speaks with greater power and clarity than several distinct voices. CODAA aims to be such a powerful and clear voice for all adjunct faculty.
CODAA exists in order to promote, protect and speak for the well-being of the adjunct faculty. The objective is to always improve working, teaching and learning conditions for all adjuncts on campus in relation to their students and others.
To that end, CODAA, also supports the sentiment and thrust of the CTA mission statement as stated above.
