Attention all advocates for justice and fairness,

Last week, a group of passionate educators from across 15 states united in Washington to champion the cause of repealing the unjust Government Pension Offset (GPO) and Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP). These discriminatory policies have long deprived more than 2.5 million hard-working Americans, including countless educators, of the Social Security benefits they rightfully deserve.

The urgency of this issue cannot be overstated. Our dedicated educators have dedicated their lives to shaping the minds of future generations, only to find themselves unjustly denied the benefits they have earned through their service. But together, we can make a difference.

It is heartening to know that the Social Security Fairness Act (S. 597/H.R. 82) has garnered broad bipartisan support, with 263 cosponsors in the House and 40 in the Senate. This is a crucial step towards achieving the repeal we seek, but we cannot afford to rest on our laurels.

Imagine the impact if we all unite in solidarity. Picture 35 educators standing in a powerful group, holding a sign that boldly declares, “Repeal GPO and WEP.” Visualize the moment when representatives Garret Graves (R-LA) and John Larson (D-CT) address this group on Capitol Hill, supporting our cause.

But we need your help to turn this vision into a reality.

We implore you to add your voice to the growing chorus of advocates by signing the letter to our representatives. Your signature will serve as a powerful symbol of support and pressure our lawmakers to take decisive action. By signing this petition, you stand up for justice, fairness, and the rights of hard-working educators who deserve better.
